Fire and Cross receives 4 stars

My first review for Fire and Cross appears on Vvb32 Reads blog.

Velvet's blog is a place to share YA books - some zombies, vampires, steampunk, Japanese and Jane Austen. She gave Fire and Cross 4 out of 5 and described it in one word: macaroons. I'm not sure if that's because she liked the macaroons mentioned in the story or she thought the novel was quite sweet. Either way, I'm happy dancing!

I enjoyed this romp with the Austen couple, Darcy and Elizabeth. The story is told in Darcy's perspective which makes for some hot scenes.

Entertaining dialogue, behind-the-scenes intrigues and gossip fill the pages with a mystery to solve.

A cure for the headache

IN QUEST OF THETA MAGICE is Enid Wilson’s homage to Jane Austen’s PRIDE AND PREJUIDICE. The classic story gets a decidedly modern make over with futuristic elements and a bit of magic thrown in. Though key elements from the original are present, this is a unique tale all its own. I enjoyed the engaging characters and Ms. Wilson’s imaginative world building. One of the first things that struck me about this story was how human and likable the characters were despite the fantasy elements. It is always a pleasure to pick up a book that grabs a reader’s attention immediately. The characters were very unique and with Dean in particular, I was taken aback when I realized how much I liked him. Throughout the story there are contrasts of good & evil, beauty & the beast and it had the requisite simmering romance that makes one blush with the explicit sensuality. So many times I’ve found that erotic stories are big on “skin” and leave a lot to be desired when it comes to plot and story development. You can imagine my delight as I read this story and I enjoyed every single page!

I seem to have forgotten to report the 5 stars review I got from San Diego Examiner in January. Here is an excerpt.

This is the third book from Enid that I’ve reviewed and this one by far is the best of the lot. It is Pride and Prejudice, with the same characters and situations except for the angelic storyline and the eroticism. This is not your mother’s Jane Austen! Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet are hot together and come off as more believable characters than the original intended...

Really Angelic receives great review

Really Angelic just received 4 Cups of Coffee from Coffee Time Romance, it means Outstanding Great Read. Yah!

I enjoyed the characters and the “under the bed” scene is a new favorite. The period dialogue is well written and consistent throughout the book. The sex is very good.

From the cover you can tell who's the angel but of course there's more than one. I won't share what kind or give hints as to who else may be. You'll just have to pick up your own copy and read all the juicy goodness for yourself and learn just how demonic Mr. Darcy can really be. I highly recommend this one for anyone who loves Pride and Prejudice...

Bargain with the Devil is a sweet story of love with a dark side that will ensnare the reader. Enid Wilson skillfully provides a view into the private thoughts of the hero and heroine. This insight allowed me to see the situation through the eyes of both characters. I found it fantastic that the heroine was depicted as very human and rational, unlike other historical heroines who are unable to look past the rules of society. This book is an engrossing story that will grab the reader and take them on a wild ride that will last until the very last sentence.

I'm very happy that Monie likes my new book and I'm really surprised that she even took the time to read Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice before reviewing my what-if story. Here is the review at Reading with Monie. She rated it 5 stars!

Ok guys. Seriously I have to ask... Why didn't anyone clue me in to Pride and Prejudice and it's fan fiction sooner? After I read, reviewed and LOVED Enid Wilson's hot, hot book In Quest of Theta Magic in April she contacted me about reviewing Bargain with the Devil. Enid described it as a P&P what if story and I was intrigued.

I started with Pride and Prejuice by Jane Austen and then moved on to the movie starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen (when Mr. Darcy flexed his hand after helping Elizabeth into the carriage my heart broke!) and wrapped it up with Bargain with the Devil. I devoured it in one sitting and then went to Enid's website Steamy Darcy (rated NC-17) and zoomed through all of the short P&P stories in the HOT POOL there. But don't despair she also has a Cool Room for those who like a little less spice.

I found my new favorite fictional male character in Mr. Darcy (move over Rourke from J.D. Robb's In Death series) and in Bargain with the Devil he is certainly a scoundrel but Enid did a wonderful job on this what if story. I especially liked the unfortunate circumstances of Miss Bingley. I'm sure that Enid had lots of fun writing this book because it shows.

Bargain with the Devil by Enid Wilson is a Pride and Prejudice what if story. For those who are not well-versed in Pride and Prejudice or forgot major characters and plot points (that would be me) might I suggest going here to get acquainted with the plot, because Enid story sort of starts in the middle after some major events and while it is a great way to jump into a story, it also makes one wish to read the original to understand or remember how Enid got to the part that she did.

With that said, I quite enjoyed the ride through history as Enid has captured the essence of Jane Austen's world. The story is rich in detail, and while it is an homage to Pride and Prejudice, the story does take turns and twists not envisioned in the original. I could not stop reading. The story pulled me in and held on until the last page, which in this reviewer’s estimation makes this a damn fine book!

This is the second book by Enid Wilson that features Mr. Darcy and The Bennets’. You can read my review of it here. That first book was such a different piece of writing that is more magical and science fiction infused, whereas this second book is more traditional historical romance with a spicier side that Jane Austen probably could not have written.

In this tale, Mr. Darcy ask what Miss Bennet will do for his help. She makes a bargain with him, not knowing specifically what he wants, but wanting to help her sister and her family in anyway she can. Through one mishap after another, the bargain they made never came to light, yet these two love each other and in the end Miss Bennet gives Mr. Darcy what he has been craving for.

Bottom line this book gets a 4. While it is the basic Pride and Prejudice story, it is definitely not Jane Austen’s story. There is sex between the two and it is not tame. It is good, with many twists that are resolved, and with the some of the same basic plot from the original. Don’t let this one pass you by.

I guest posted in National Romance Novel Examiner Maddie James's blog. She titled it "Getting to know Enid Wilson" and it reminded me of the song "Getting to know you, getting to know all about you..." from the King and I.

I knew that the article was posted this morning before Maddie alerted me when I checked the coverage of my book in google. I found the article tagged by Sydney Times because I have written this line "I’m Enid Wilson from beautiful sunny Sydney". Trully amazing with this tagging thing.

Night Owl Romance Top Pick

Happy dance again! In Quest of Theta Magic got a 4.5 rating from Night Owl Romance. They even gives me a Reviewer Top Pick logo to put on the website. How cool!

This story is not really explicit, however, you will learn about a new world, it customs, and its people if you read the book. The people are engaging to read about and it has some entertaining wedding rituals that last eight days! I hope the author comes out with another book on these people. I could read more about them.

Another great book review for In Quest of Theta Magic

This book was so good I sped through it in one sitting. The futuristic story was unique and intriguing with great characters. I enjoyed the banter between Dean and Elana. It was witty and natural making the whole story seem genuine and it led to some pretty steamy love scenes.

Positive Book Review by San Diego Examiner

Her story, In Quest of Theta Magic, is futuristic erotica and I have to say that I like the notion of her world building and ideas...

There are regular humans and other humans called Thetas who have magic. The powers the Thetas have are cool powers with names like eagle sight. There is a quest, a legend and a purpose. In between this is a love story between Dean Williams and Elana Bailey, the main hero and heroine. The sex is very sensual and mainly vanilla, with Dean literally flexing his most impressive muscle. Have to say I really, really like that idea!

There is some good action scenes and while set in the future, it is historical in nature. Meaning if you’ve read historical novels, then there is always some rogue or villain attempting to disrupt the happy lives of the main characters. She pulls this off really well.
