Many US mothers feel like single parents, whether they are married or not, and two out of three resent handling all the household chores even when they prefer their partners to stand aside, a new survey shows.
The study by ForbesWoman and the pregnancy website TheBump.com found that 92 per cent of working mums and 89 per cent of stay-at-home mothers felt overwhelmed by work, home and parenting responsibilities. - extract from Sydney Morning Herald
Hmm, and then they feel resentful towards their partners. That's bad. Perhaps they should invoice their spouses for work done, then they may feel happier.

ReplyDeleteSomething has to give in our culture. Women have been told for so long that they can have it all, and now we find out that it is a lie. We can have it all, just not at once. Kids, work, relationship: choose any two.
Sometimes it may not be a choice but it just happens...
